To serve rather than be served in humility, simplicity, and charity.
Serving with faith. Giving with love. Rooted in 400 years of compassion.
For over four centuries, the Ladies of Charity has answered a simple but powerful call: "To serve rather than be served, in humility, simplicity, and charity."
Founded in 1617 by St. Vincent de Paul in France, the Ladies of Charity is the oldest organized, continuously functioning volunteer lay organization in the world — now active in over 49 countries with hundreds of thousands of volunteers united by one mission.
Here in Northern Utah, we are proud to carry that legacy forward.
Center of Hope Food Pantry Located in North Salt Lake, our Center of Hope Food Pantry is at the heart of our work — providing food assistance to families and individuals facing hunger in our community. No one should go without, and our volunteers show up every week to make sure they don't.
Prayer Shawl Ministry Sometimes the greatest gift we can offer is the reminder that someone cares. Our Prayer Shawl Ministry creates handcrafted shawls, lovingly made and prayed over, and given to those experiencing illness, grief, or hardship — a tangible embrace of warmth and hope.
Community Outreach From food and clothing drives to community partnerships, our members give their time, talent, and hearts to lift up those who need it most right here in Northern Utah.
